Turn around times are normally within 2 weeks. It does depend on the work required. The drysuit under goes several applications and testing to ensure complete dryness. We will always try to help anyone out, if you need a quick turnaround this may increase the cost. If you need a rush job done, call Graeme (Hoppy) on 07739881258 to discuss it. What causes delays in returning them is payments, postage and not being able to make contact with the owner.
It depends on what is wrong with the zip. I can replace zips and have some in stock but feel free to contact me to discuss in more detail.
Depending on what the repair is, hopefully a new sock, neck seal or wrist seal! With pinholes from the outside you will see no change, as all repairs are on the inside. The first coats soak right in, you will almost not see these. Latter coats look like wet patches, perhaps 1-4 inches wide.
Larger and more complex repairs are thicker, as they require more coats. Delaminated areas have to be sealed over a larger area.
Yes, I will do my best to. I plan to email or text you when they arrive, once they are tested, if they are taking a long time or have problems and when they are almost finished. Please include full contact details including email address and mobile number, but feel free to call me if you need any info. Please make sure I can read it!
I give a year’s warranty on all my repairs, however this obviously does not cover new leaks, we don’t make them bullet proof! If the drysuit was dry for the first couple of trips and then develops a leak then it is probably just another small pinhole. It is not a big deal and we will fix it for you. Just be honest with us and tell us it has started leaking again. The pressure test will show us if it is a new leak anyway. We have never had a previous repair leak.
It really depends on the repairs. Seals don’t take long, if after testing other issues come up that can delay the process. If you need the drysuit for a certain date please tell me, and I will do my very best.

Once I have the drysuit booked in I will contact you to say it’s have arrived. Any prearranged repairs will be carried out. I will then do a pressure test to make it’s watertight. If there are any issues during testing I’ll contact you with details of the problem, solution and price. This is why readable contact details are essential.
I suggest you place your drysuit in it’s bag (if it has one) in a couple of bin bags or rubble bags and use the post office. Alternatively if you live in or near Aberdeen we would be happy to see you if you drop it off!
Please, please, whatever the delivery method just make sure I can read your contact details.
